The Anywave, model NYW-50-D, is a CW Tunable Laser Module designed for use in optical communication systems where the capability to change wavelength over the C-band (192.05-196.00 THz) is essential. The NYW-50-D is built around a monolithic four section GCSR semiconductor laser. It includes all drive and control electronics in a small size, board mountable package. The electronics includes an
advanced wavelength control algorithm as well as laser temperature control. The NYW-50-D is designed to be used with an external wave length locker Communication with the module is performed through an asynchronous parallel interface. Polarization-maintaining fiber pigtail with a FC/PC connector (slow axis aligned) is standard.
